Battery Original Li-ion Battery 18V 4.9Ah-5.2Ah - Automower®

Battery life (P2 Li-ion):
A "P2" battery is designed for approximately 2,000 to 4,000 charging cycles.
A "P2" battery is usually designed to last 2-5 years.
A "P2" battery should be replaced every 5 years at the latest!
The manufacturer's guarantee for new "P2" batteries is 12 months.
The battery capacity decreases with increasing service life.
If the indicated battery capacity is approximately 1,500 mAh or less, the battery is probably weak and needs to be replaced.

Battery voltages "V" (P2 Li-Ion):
0.0 - 10.0 volts = battery defective - Dispose of - Must NOT be charged any more!
10.1 - 15.0 volts = deep discharge - the battery has probably already been damaged
It is NO longer possible to charge the Automower® (charging station).
(You can try to charge the removed battery with a suitable special charger. However, not recommended. Without guarantee.)
15.0 - 17 volts = empty battery. Should be charged with the Automower® in the charging station.
18 volts = empty battery. Should be charged with the Automower® in the charging station.
21 volts = fully charged battery. (Note volt (voltage) has no influence on the battery capacity (power)

Battery current "A" "mA" (P2 Li-Ion):
Charging processes are primarily controlled by the transformer (not by the charging station circuit board).
The theoretical charging current for Automower®® 320, 420 is 2.1A and for Automower®® 330X 4.2A. When the battery voltage approaches the nominal voltage of 21.0 V, the physical properties of the battery cause the charging current to decrease. If the charging current has dropped to 0.3 A, the mower is considered fully charged and the charging process is canceled. The (measurable) nominal charging current shown in the display is for Automower® Automower®® 320, 420 1500-2000mA and for Automower®® 330X (not 430X!) 3200-4100mA.

Battery capacity "Ah" "mAh" (P2 Li-Ion):

The battery is considered fully charged when it has reached 80% of its total capacity. Charging the battery to 100% would take too long due to the low charging current. Therefore, it makes most sense to stop charging a Li-ion battery at 80%.

The maximum used capacity of the Automower® 420, 320 is therefore 2.6 Ah (2600 mA) - and not 3.2 Ah (3200 mA) of the total capacity of the battery.

The Automower® 330X has two batteries. (Not with the 430X!)
The maximum used capacity of the Automower® 330X (not the 430X!) Is therefore 5.2 Ah (5200mA) (depending on the software only 5000-5100mA) - and not 2x 3.2 Ah (2x 3200mA) of the total capacity (6.4Ah) 6400mAh) of the two batteries.

When the charge level of the battery has dropped to 1000 mAh or the battery voltage has dropped to 17.5 volts, the robotic lawnmower switches off the blade motor and searches for the charging station.

The Origianl battery has been specially adapted to minimize interference with the loop sensors and has additional overcharge protection. Only the original battery from the Husqvarna Group may be used.
