This new (from 2016) battery 18,0V (18,5V) with 2100Ah or 2000mA with BMS (Battery Manager System) replaces the old battery with 18Volt with 1600mAh.

Battery life (P1 Li-Ion):
A "P1" battery is typically rated for around 1500 to 3000 charge cycles.
A "P1" battery is usually designed for a service life of 2-4 years.
A "P1" battery should all be replaced after 5 years at the latest! (Main board damage possible)
The manufacturer's warranty for new "P1" batteries is 12 months.
As the battery life increases, the battery capacity decreases.
If the indicated battery capacity is approx. 900 mAh or less, the battery is probably weak and must be replaced.

Battery - Voltages "V" (P1 Li-Ion):
0.0 - 10.0 volts = Battery defective - Discard - Must NOT be recharged !!!
10.1 - 15.0 volts = Deep discharged - The battery has probably already been damaged.
Charging in the Automower® (charging station) is no longer possible.
(You can try charging the removed battery with a suitable special charger. Recommended for specialist light only. Without guarantee).
15 - 17 Volt = Lerre battery. Should be charged when installed in the Automower® in the charging station.
17 - 18 Volt = Lerre battery. Should be charged when installed in the Automower® in the charging station.
21 volts = Fully charged battery. (Volt is not battery capacity (power)).

Battery current "A" "mA" (P1 Li-Ion):
Charging operations are primarily controlled by the transformer (transformer) (Not by the charging station board).
The theoretical charging current for Automower®® 308 and Gardena R70LiR75LiR80Li is 1.5 A and for Automower®® 305
and Gardena R40LiR38LI 1.0 A. When the battery voltage approaches the nominal voltage of 21.0 V, the physical battery characteristics cause the charging current to decrease. When the charging current has dropped to 0.3 A, the mower is considered to be fully charged and charging is stopped. The nominal (measurable) charging current shown in the display is 1000mA-1400 mA for Automower® Automower® 308 and Gardena R70LiR75LiR80Li and 700mA-900mA for Automower® 305 and Gardena R40LiR38LI.

Battery power "Ah" "mAh" (P1 Li-Ion):

The battery is considered fully charged when it has 80% of its total capacity. Charging the battery to 100 % would take too long due to the low charging current. Therefore, it makes most sense to stop charging a Li-ion battery at 80 %. The maximum capacity used is therefore 1.2 Ah (1200mA) - and not 1.6 Ah (1600mA) of the total capacity of the battery. (Inscription on battery 1.6Ah)

Inscription on battery 2.1Ah:
The battery is considered fully charged when it has 80% of its total capacity. Charging the battery to 100 % would take too long due to the low charging current. Therefore, it makes most sense to stop charging a Li-ion battery at 80 %. The maximum capacity used is therefore 1.6 Ah (1600mA) - and not 2.1 Ah (2100mA) of the total capacity of the battery. (Inscription on battery 2.1Ah).

When the battery charge level has dropped to 300 mAh or the battery voltage has dropped to 17.7 volts, the robotic lawnmower switches off the blade motor and searches for the charging station.
